Personal Training

1 to 1 or small group training sessions can be organised in any of the conditioning styles mentioned on this site. They will be held at the best location for the session being carried out: the gym, the beach or the sports field.

I am running a small group personal training class at sportBU (Bounemouth University): 9 one hour sessions in a group of up to 6 for only £44!. The programme can be anything from weightloss to weight gain or coaching in Olympic weightlifting. For information email me on russell@conditioningcentre.com or come to sportBU reception and ask for me.

Personal training will require an initial assessment and goal setting session and from that a programme will be designed to achieve your targets. The programmes will be in 4 week sections and can be edited throughout. Each session is £30 per hour, with the first being half price.

If you would not like to be trained in person every session we can design a programme from the assessment session and work you through it for 1 week then release you to work through the programme alone. We can then meet up 4 weeks later to assess your progress and design a new programme. Initial assessment, programme design and session: £60.

Golf Fitness

As a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute I am qualified to design programmes targetted at improving your physical ability to swing a golf club.

Many people looking to improve their Golf game will get lessons from a Golf pro in order to improve their technical ability to swing a club but will often forget about their physical ability. They may not have considered the fact that they may have a physical restriction that prevents them from getting into the right positions, holding those positions through the swing and connecting correctly with the ball. This can mean that the time and money spent on lessons is wasted, as they are simply not able to swing a club with those restirctions.

My programme is designed to identify your physical restrictions and correct them so that you have the physcial ability to perform your swing consistently and powerfully. You can then work on your technical skills in the knowledge that you are not being held back.

The programme will start with a 30 minute golf specific physical screening, which will be used to design a programme to rectify any issues you have and help improve your game.

Real World

Real world sessions are training sessions that involve equipment you won't normally find in the gym. The idea is to create a conditioning session that improves your cardio-vascular fitness and whole body strength in a totally different way than you are used to.

Sessions will be adapted to suit the group and can include:

Sprint sessions to develop power and speed, throwing medicine balls, dragging weights sleds, flipping tyres or circuits. In other words we will do just about anything with anything to keep challenging your body and my imagination.

Junior Sessions

The conditioning of Britain’s youth is absolutely vital to our nation’s health and our performance at the future national sporting level.

The Junior Conditioning sessions will be aimed at kids of any age and will develop their sporting skills and conditioning in a fun, safe and friendly environment.

The kids will try out a variety of conditioning methods to give them a taste of what may come in the future.

The aim is to have fun and use games to teach the basics of movement and coordination to help them get fit and perform better in any sport.

As always sessions can be tailored to the individual’s needs and specific groups.

 
 

Classes and training will take place in the Bournemouth and Poole area.
